Friends of Millhouses Park Mill Buildings group are through to the final 7 groups nationwide in the River Cottage/British Gas funding competition. They have less than 3 weeks to gather as much support as possible for the group and get through to the Top Two, who will get funding. They have applied for up to £26,000 – for a solar pv array, insulation and other energy efficiency improvements, plus a Ground Source Heat Pump installation.
They are in the ‘small’ category. Only registered supporters on energyshare are eligible to vote – so get registering now!! Voting is open from NOVEMBER 15 – DECEMBER 3 (5pm). Then you can also vote for Sheffield Renewables, in the ‘large’ category, who are applying for up to £100,000 towards their River Don water power project, at Jordan Dam.
